Frequency: as needed Lip balm - Protects the lips from drying out. -
1) Fill water into a small pot and place it on a stove plate. Heat the water in the pot at low temperature (e.g., setting I) without boiling.
2) Take a separate heat-resistant container (e.g., cup or bowl) that fits inside the pot. 3) Now add cocoa butter and beeswax to the chosen container. To speed up melting, you can chop the ingredients. Tip: Adding a small teaspoon of coconut oil or oils like almond, olive, etc., makes the lip balm smoother.
4) Place the container with the ingredients in the pot of warm water. The water should touch the outside of the container up to half its height. If there is too much water in the pot, pour some out.
5) Once the ingredients in the container have melted, additional additives can be included. Ingredient tips: Lavender, mint, lemon, cinnamon, honey. Dosage recommendation: Maximum one-fourth teaspoon per reusable tin. Note: When using powdered or herbal ingredients, only add one ingredient per reusable tin to prevent the balm from becoming too dry and hard.
6) After mixing in the ingredients, turn off the stove plate and distribute the mixture from the container into reusable tins.
7) The lip balm now needs some time to cool and harden.
8) After about 2 hours, the lip balm can be used; after approximately 24 hours, it will be fully hardened. The reusable tins can then be easily sealed and taken anywhere or given as gifts.
